When we started making microphones 40 years ago, you could count the number of companies building mics on one hand. Now 40 years later, times have changed. With overseas parts readily available and accessible, it seems everybody's doin' it.
But we keep doing things the old-fashioned way. Lawson microphones, including the capsules, are handcrafted right here in our Nashville Tennessee factory. Because here at Lawson, we value quality over quantity, people over products, and tradition over trends. Our pride and passion is simply this: Gettin' to know each one of you and handcrafting the best darn microphones you'll ever use.

All Lawson mics (including the capsules) are made in our factory in Nashville TN USA. Gene Lawson, Gayle Lawson, and a few dedicated and talented artisans handcraft each Lawson product with pride and passion. Solid brass is machined here, polished here, and plated here. Each printed circuit board is designed in-house, locally produced, then loaded, soldered, and tested in our factory. We are particularly proud of the L47 and L251 capsules which are manufactured onsite using our CNC machinery and hand-lapped by Gene Lawson himself.
